SHARE is 'unique'. To quote Charles Kuralt, "'Unique' is a word that cannot be qualified. It does not mean rare or uncommon; it means alone in the universe."

The CICS Project at SHARE is unique. Time spent attending and participating in SHARE and the CICS Project cannot be duplicated anywhere or in any way. The CICS Project at SHARE offers the member a diverse agenda, not only including in-depth CICS sessions, but a choice of many industry-wide topics of timely interest.

Frequently someone might attempt to compare the IBM-sponsored CICS Technical Conference with the SHARE CICS Project, but whereas there are some similarities, there are considerable differences. The following chart lists major differences in the two offerings.

The major point to be made is that participation in the SHARE CICS Project is a good investment of time and money. If the member is able, attendance at both the SHARE CICS Project and the IBM CICS Technical Conference would be recommended. They do not duplicate each other. If the person can attend only one event, then the person has to make a major, individual decision. Attend SHARE if you want diversity; attend the IBM CICS Technical Conference if you want just CICS education and not the other potential benefits offered by SHARE.
